Rockdale City Suns Football Club

The Rockdale City Suns are pleased to announce the signing of former Australian Youth international Peter Cvetanovski for the remainder of the 2010 Premier League season.  The former Australian u17 and u19 international comes with considerable experience overseas and will be a welcome addition to the Club's playing roster for the remainder of the current campaign.  

Rockdale City Suns yesterday completed the double over Bankstown City Lions with a gritty 1-0 victory away from home at Jenson Park.  The sides were separated by the sole goal scored by Rockdale's skipper, Peter Apolevski.  Well done to the coaching staff and players.  Rockdale are now only 2 points behind the 5th placed Sutherland Sharks on the NSWPL ladder.

Our next home game is this Sunday 30 May 2010 at Bicentennial Park against Blacktown City.  First grade kick off is 3pm.  The last meeting between the two Clubs ended in a 2-2 draw away from home and the Club is hoping that the team can make it two wins on the trot.

Congratulations to the Rockdale City Suns Under 12's for progressing into the last 16 of the Sydney Cup following a comprehensive 6-1 victory yesterday over Stanmore Hawks. 

Last Sunday, the Suns secured a valuable point at home against high flying Sydney United.  After going a goal down, the Suns fought bravely with Captain Peter Apolevski levelling things up from the penalty spot.  The Club would like to thank the many Suns supporters who helped create a wonderful atmosphere for their team at Bicentennial Park.

 Rockdale City Suns are back in action this Sunday 23 May 2010 against traditional rivals, Bankstown City at Jensen Park. First grade kick off is at 3pm. 

Our next home game is scheduled for 3pm on Sunday 30 May against Blacktown City.  More match detail to follow.
