Bexley Gof Course hosted the Rockdale City Suns 2010 Golf Day on Sunday 18 July 2010.
The event, sponsored by Beck's Workforce, saw a number of Club members, Committee, sponsors, and guests participate in the Club's inaugural Golf Day under clear skies.
There were a number of stand-out performances. The winning score of 64 on a par 62 course was a fantastic effort and those in attendance are readying thmselves for the next fixture of what the Club hopes will be a regular event. Other achievements include our Event Sponsor winning the 'Nearest the Pin' award. All players participated in good spirits and the event rasied some funds for the Club's Junior division.
Once again, I would like to thank our event sponsor, Tony Beck of Beck's Workforce. The event could not have been the success that it was without his support and that of the players in attendance. I would also like to thank our Junior President and Treasurer George Kociski and Tony Dimanoski respectively for their assistance with preparation of the event.
Event photos to follow.
Yours faithfully
Dennis Loether

Last Saturday saw Rockdale pick up another valuable point on the road against the West Sydney Berries although with a bit of luck, it could easily have been all 3. The game played at the Sydney Olympic Park finished 1-1 with skipper Peter Apolevski putting the Suns ahead in the second half with a penalty, only for the home team to equalise with less than ten minutes to go on the clock.
The Suns have a busy period coming up with the washed out fixture against Manly United.
Our next home game is this Sunday 4 July 2010 at Bicentennial Park against the South Coast Wolves. It is a must win game if the Suns are to continue pushing for a top 5 finish. First grade kick off is at 3pm.

Last Sunday saw a thrilling 2-2 draw between the high flying Suns and the ever improving APIA Leichhardt Tigers at Bicentennial Park. The points were shared after the Suns came from behind on two occasions with the home side's goals coming from the boot of the debutant Pece Cvetanovski and via Club Captain Peter Apolevski.
The Suns are back in action this Sunday 20 June at Bicentennial Park against Sydney Olympic. Olympic will be buoyed by their last up win and so our boys will need as much support as possible from the Suns faithful to help secure all 3 points. First grade kick off is 3pm. Fans are encouraged to get to the game early. A reminder to all spectators to when possible utilise the adjoining car park.

Last weekend saw Rockdale come away with a single point against Blacktown following a 0-0 draw at Bicentennial Park. It was a gutsy effort considering Rockdale played much of the second half with only ten men.
This Sunday the boys are on the road again when they come up against Manly United at Cromer Park. First grade kick off is at 3pm.
Our next home game is on 13 June 2010 against the much improved APIA Leichhardt Tigers. First grade kick off is 3pm. The Club hopes to see another strong turn out by the Suns faithful who have been instrumental in making Bicentennial Park a tough place to play for opposition teams.
We wish all of our teams all the best for this weekends action.
