The Coolmore Classic is part of the autumn racing carnival that also hosts the Golden Slipper Stakes. Only mares and fillies participate in the Coolmore Classic.
The race is run over a distance of 1500 meters.

 

The winner of the race wins an important advantage. It does not have to participate in the ballot for Queen of the Turf Stakes and Doncaster Mile.

A Look At The Coolmore Classic

The name of the race has undergone a number of changes since its inception in the year 1973. The race is presently named after its sponsorer Coolmore Stud but recently online bookmaker ladbrokes.com.au has become a leading sponsor.

 

The Coolmore Classic is scheduled to be held on 11th march 2017 in the Rosehill Gardens Racecourse. The winner of the 2016 race is Peeping.
